The non-parametric correlation analysis proved that there is a significant relationship between the water level and the geodetic survey and the tilt metre displacements. However, there is no strong correlation between the crack metre displacements and the water level and these were the anticipated results. . The plotted points showed different clusters clearly separated on the graphs which represented different periods of time. This proved that the dam was permanently displaced over the years. 

Temperature could also have a large impact on the displacements of the dam but this could not be investigated during this research because no temperature readings had been taken over the years. However, this issue was resolved and instrumentation has been installed on the dam which has started recording temperature measurements of the structure regularly. When a number of temperature readings have been collected, other statistical analysis methods can be applied to the data to investigate the degree to which the water level and the temperature affect the displacements. These methods could include principal component analysis, multiple linear regression, multivariate analysis and spatial correlation.
